What we collect

When you contact us

Your name, email address, channel link, and anything you write to us through our contact form or by email.

When we contact you

Business contact details that creators publish publicly, such as a business email listed on a YouTube channel or social media profile, along with your channel name and public channel information. We use this only to reach out about working together.

When you work with us

  • Contact and payment details needed to run our agreement and handle the revenue share.
  • Access to your Facebook page, through the page role you choose to give us.
  • The videos and other materials you share with us.
  • Your page’s performance and earnings data as reported by Meta, which we use to run your page and calculate our share. Audience data from Meta is aggregated. We don’t receive personal data about individual viewers.

When you visit our website

Technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which our hosting provider records to keep the site running and secure. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when you visit. We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Why we use it

  • To reply to you when you get in touch. Based on your request and our legitimate interest in responding.
  • To contact creators about a possible partnership. Based on our legitimate interest in growing our business. You can opt out at any time.
  • To provide our services and handle payments. Necessary to carry out our agreement with you.
  • To keep records required for tax and accounting. Required by law.
  • To keep our website working and secure. Based on our legitimate interest.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We only share it when needed:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, email, contact form processing and file storage, and the editors who work on your content under our instructions.
  • Meta (Facebook), when we publish content and manage your page for you.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor, if Boomerly is ever merged or sold, who would remain bound by this policy.

International transfers

We’re based in Kosovo and work with creators and service providers in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. When data moves across borders, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected, including choosing providers with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and outreach: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless we start working together. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep only the minimum needed to make sure we don’t contact you again.
  • Client records: for the length of our agreement, then for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Page access: removed within 7 days of the end of our agreement, or sooner if you ask.

How we protect it

Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you share with us.

How we protect it

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy
  • Correct anything that’s wrong
  • Delete your data
  • Limit how we use it, or object to us using it, including for outreach
  • Send your data to you or another service in a usable format
  • Withdraw consent you’ve given, at any time

Email hello@boomerlymedia.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re in Kosovo, the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Kosovo, that’s the Information and Privacy Agency.

California residents

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, and to ask us to correct or delete it. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Stopping our emails

If we’ve emailed you about working together and you’d rather we didn’t, reply “unsubscribe” or email hello@boomerlymedia.com and we’ll stop.

Children

Our services are for creators and businesses and aren’t directed at anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think we have, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Other websites

Our site and emails may link to other websites and platforms, like YouTube and Facebook. They have their own privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for how they handle your data.
